Two Afghan Government employees completed Executive Masters Degree at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva

On 29 February 2016, two Afghanistan Government employees received Executive Masters degree in Development of Policy and Practice from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva. The Program is a joint initiative between the Afghanistan Ministry of Finance, the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva and UNITAR aiming to train the Government staff with analytical and leadership skills and enhance their organisational effectiveness through a job-related thesis.

H.E. Dr. Suraya DALIL, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan attended the convocation ceremony and congratulated all the graduates for their success in particular Mr. Khesrow Momand; Health Sector Manager, General Budget Directorate, Ministry of Finance; and Mr. Habibullah Azmat, Senior Specialist, National Procurement Authority; who successfully attended the training and now is back to Afghanistan. This course had participants from Afghanistan, Africa, and the Central Asian Republics and carried out from July 2015 to February 2016.
