Ambassador's message

I have much pleasure in welcoming all those visiting the website of Afghanistan UNOG Mission and of the Embassy in Switzerland.

As Afghanistan continues the uneasy journey of peace and re-building, the Mission in Geneva provides a conduit of broad interaction between Afghanistan and the Geneva-based international organizations indispensible to consolidation and streamlining of mutual contributions.

As such, the Mission at Geneva engages in a wide spectrum of activities, prominently of economic and humanitarian nature, among others, human rights, development, trade, health, environment, labour and migration.

This intercourse aims to offer a panorama of these activities, while at the same time provides a set of useful links to important Government websites and other international organizations and world agencies involved in Afghanistan, as well as up-to-date information and news of relevance to the nation.

The site also provides information and access on the full range of Consular services including visa and passport,  as it  concurrently covers updates on the conduct of the work of the Embassy in Switzerland within the framework of bilateral relations between Afghanistan and Switzerland; an enduring partnership spanning throughout some half of a Century now.

I do hope you would find the website helpful.

Ambassador
